Paul W. Churilla is Of Counsel with Brake Hughes Bellermann LLP. Mr. Churilla's practice focuses on drafting and prosecution of patents, patent analysis and client counseling in a wide range of technologies including wireless communication systems, networking, video projection systems, semiconductor processing, devices and circuits, computers, optical components, software, microprocessors and other hardware and systems. He has extensive experience in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in these areas Prior to joining Brake Hughes Bellermann LLP, Mr. Churilla was an income partner with McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert and Berghoff LLP. Before joining McDonnell Boehnen, Mr. Churilla was an attorney at a Portland, Oregon Intellectual Property law firm and also worked in Intel Corporation's Legal Department as a patent engineer while attending law school. Prior to joining Intel's Legal Department, Mr. Churilla worked for more than 12 years as an engineer, primarily for Intel, where he was a member of the Pentium II, Pentium III and Pentium 4 microprocessor development teams. His engineering experience included numerous areas of semiconductor component development and manufacturing, including design reliability, failure analysis, yield enhancement, semiconductor component qualification, and lifetime modeling.
