Justin B. Scout*, Associate

Justin B. Scout is an associate with Brake Hughes Bellermann LLP. Mr. Scout's practice focuses on drafting and prosecuting patent applications, patent analysis, and client counseling in a wide range of technologies including wireless communication systems, networking, video projection systems, semiconductor processing, devices and circuits, computers, optical components, software, microprocessors, and other hardware and systems.  He has extensive experience in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in these areas.

Before joining Brake Hughes Bellermann LLP, Mr. Scout was an attorney at a Portland, Oregon, Intellectual Property law firm and also worked for over 11 years with Intel Corporation, both in their Legal Department as a patent attorney and as an electrical engineer.

As an engineer at Intel, Mr. Scout was a member of the Itanium microprocessor and chipset design teams and a member of the cable modem marketing team.  Mr. Scout also worked as an engineer with General Electric and Harris RF Communications.  His engineering experience includes numerous areas of semiconductor component development, communications technology, power generation, and software design.
